Salary: £12.50 per hour
Hours: 25 hours per week; Monday to Friday Evenings
Contract: Permanent; Term time only plus 1 week

About the role
We are seeking to appoint an evening cleaner.
The cleaning team consists of a supervisor and three cleaners, who between them provide a complete cleaning and janitorial service to the school, which is spread over 13 separate buildings on the site. However, there is a requirement to work 1 week additional days during the school holidays to complete deep cleans and attend whole school training days
You will work alongside the Cleaning Supervisor and the cleaning team to deliver a first-class cleaning and janitorial service at Heath Farm School. The post holder may be required to do other duties appropriate to the level of the role, as directed by the Facilities Manager, School Business Manager, or Headteacher.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Working as part of the Site team, carry out daily cleaning and ad-hoc duties
Clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings, floors, walls and internal woodwork in accordance with the cleaning schedule
Clean toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas
Undertake special cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises
Collect and dispose of waste in appropriate manner
Refill and replace consumables
Maintain and arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
Operate everyday equipment in accordance with instructions
Report faulty equipment and other maintenance requirements using the electronic reporting system

About the School
It is an exciting time to join Heath Farm School. Under the leadership of the forward-thinking head teacher, the school and its team have recently redesigned and created a purposeful and unique ‘Heath Farm Curriculum’ that fully meets the holistic needs of our students.
We are now in the stage of fully embedding this across the school. We are an independent SEN school that offers a unique and stimulating environment where every pupil is able to make outstanding progress in their personal development and enjoy success in their education.

There are currently 100 students on role and a staff team of approximately the same number. The construction of the new kitchen and dining facility aligns with our vision of community, and students and staff will be encouraged to eat together at lunchtime. Also new for 2021 is a horticulture programme, which will see students planting and nurturing fruits and vegetables which will be available for the kitchen to use in the production of meals.
