The Opportunity

Options Autism are recruiting Residential Care Workers to join our team at Kinsale based in Holywell, Flintshire.

Options Kinsale is a residential children’s home and school located in a stunning rural location, near Holywell, overlooking the Dee Estuary. We provide specialist education and care for up to 25 students, aged 8 – 19. They have a range of complex needs including ASC and ADHD, in addition to impaired social or cognitive functioning due to early life trauma and attachment difficulties. There may also be some personal care dependent upon the individual needs of our children. We are looking for hardworking, dedicated individuals who are passionate about children and committed to making a difference in their lives.

Kinsale is based in Holywell but is within commutable distance of Prestatyn, Rhyl, Conwy, Llandudno and surrounds.

Our residential homes are friendly and fun, and though there are challenges too, everything we do is dedicated to creating rewarding experiences – for those we look after and for everyone in our team!

The best part is you don’t need any prior experience, just the following:

  • A big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives.
  • Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging.
  • Patience, resilience, and calmness.
  • Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs.
  • Willingness to learn not only about the people we support, but the ins and outs of Adult Residential Care.

And that’s not all, we place the outcomes of the children and vulnerable young adults in our services at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll wake every day in the knowledge that your role will have a significant positive impact on the lives of others.

*You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, more time for you! Dependent upon site location.

** Candidates must currently be UK based and already have permission to work in the UK e.g. student, graduate and/or dependant visa

We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS.

A great company to work for

Wherever you work – whether in a city location or one of our more rural settings – you’ll be part of one dynamic family, aiming high and dreaming big, and helping the people we work with achieve their own personal goals
