Job Title: SEN/LD Teacher
Location: Overton School, Ludlow
Salary: £23,720 - £30,406 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Are you a specialist SEN/LD Teacher committed to improving the lives of children and young people?
We are looking for an experienced SEN/LD Teacher to join our fantastic team at Overton School As a specialist SEN/LD Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop.
This is a great opportunity for a Specialist of SEN/LD Teacher who wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunities for children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

We are looking for a specialist SEN/LD Teacher, experienced in teaching key stages 3 and 4 with complex needs, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.
Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN/ASC environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. 'Experience in leading Duke of Edinburgh, PE or Careers would be desirable.
Educated to degree level and/or of Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.

Overton School provides specialist care and education for young people aged. We are located in the beautiful Shropshire countryside on the periphery of the market town of Ludlow. The school is situated in a large characterful Victorian building sensitively adapted to meet the varying needs of our young people. Our school offers a modern education block with dedicated academic and vocational learning spaces which compliments the school’s capacity for providing high quality care and learning where students are supported to enjoy and achieve.
