Job Title: Assistant Headteacher
Location: Trent Acres, Kings Bromley
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent Term Time only

We wish to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner who has an excellent track record of improving outcomes and is ready for promotion to senior leadership and whole-school responsibility. You will have substantial experience of leading across a Department or Faculty and who will provide an exceptional opportunity for a motivated, inspirational teacher, and creative leader who is passionate about outstanding education.
We are looking to welcome an Assistant Headteacher who will have the tenacity to turn ideas into reality. You should therefore have demonstrable experience in improving the quality of provision in an area you have led, in either a middle or senior leadership role, along with a desire and determination to improve the educational experience of all students.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent management, inter-personal and organisational skills with an ability to support teams in working together, showing commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity and accountability for all.
About the Role
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team and to help formulate and manage the School Improvement Plan and the aims and objectives of the school.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom. You may have specialist knowledge and experience of working with autistic spectrum disorder or children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Or you may have experience of working across both specialisms. You will have a Nationally Recognised Degree and relevant Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
As Assistant Headteacher you will have management and teaching responsibilities with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for young people. You will be expected to contribute to the organisation, management and supervision of school routines and curriculum. It is important to consider that the individual pupil’s learning and effective progression of achievement are provided through the development of the curriculum and policies of the school.

Options Trent Acres, is a newly opened service and situated on a 12 acre site offering an integrated residential, education and care package for children between 8 and 19 years with a wide range of complex needs, Autism and associated learning disabilities The school is purpose built, modern and welcoming with a range of specialist learning areas including an indoor and outdoor riding school and outdoor gymnasium. Children also have the opportunity to work with our horses, donkeys, goats, alpaca and chickens. Learning outside of the classroom is a fundamental part of life at Trent Acres. We have a dedicated staff team who are focused on the delivery of high quality, child centred, bespoke packages of care and education.
Our service is in within easy reach of Stoke, Derby, Telford, Stafford, Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Burton-on-Trent, Tamworth, Uttoxeter and surrounding towns.For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
