Job Title: Psychotherapist
Location: Lowesotoft, Suffolk
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (pro rata), £20,000 actual salary
Hours: 15 hours per week, over 2 days
Contract: Permanent, Part time
We have a fantastic new role for a Psychotherapist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team at NFA East in Suffolk. This is a chance to support the delivery of therapeutic services in an environment where caring for our children and young people is at the forefront of all we do and our Group vision. As a new role we are looking for someone who is innovative to develop the role further.
About the role:
NFA East is an independent fostering agency based in Lowestoft, Suffolk and is part of the National Fostering Group, and the wider Outcomes First Group.
Our Psychotherapist position is a brand new operational role which allows the opportunity to positively and creatively support children’s emotional wellbeing and development through providing direct therapy with children, therapeutic support of carers and staff, group work and training.
The successful candidate will hold a manageable caseload at a specialised level of intervention. However, intervention at both a universal and targeted (enhanced) level are of paramount importance, as reflected in the agency’s Statement of Purpose, in meeting the needs of children, young people and adult’s - both staff and fostering families. The post holder will contribute to the outstanding functionality of the Local Wellbeing & Clinical Hub.
The post holder and its supporting team are located within a designated Locality Wellbeing & Clinical Hub which caters to the wider area. The hubs multidisciplinary team comprises of Clinical & Educational Psychologists, Psychotherapists from a number of disciplines, Occupational Therapists and a Speech and Language Therapist.

Essential Criteria:
- Relevant therapy qualification, minimum Level 4 Diploma
- BACP/PTUK/BAPT/HCPC registration or equivalent
- Skilled in and passionate about reflective practice
- Experience of working with children with complex needs (desirable)
- Driving License and access to a vehicle (desirable)
- Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality
