Salary: £19,801.60 (£9.52 per hour) plus £45 per sleep in,  Increasing to £20,176.00  (£9.70 per hour) once qualified

Location: Rhuallt, Denbighshire

Contract: Full Time; Permanent

About the Home:

Options Llys y Delyn offers integrated residential, education and care package for adults between 18 - 65 years, with a wide range of complex needs, including; autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, dyspraxia and ADHD. As well as impaired social or cognitive functioning due to early life trauma and attachment difficulties. This home is based in Rhault, Denbingshire and is within commuting distance from Prestatyn, Holywell, Flint, Chester and surrounds.

Who are we are looking for?

Options Autism work directly with autistic Adults who exhibit a wide range of abilities, from non-verbal to high-functioning and You will be patient and compassionate and, most of all, dependable – working hard to forge a much-needed relationship of trust with those in your care.

This will involve creatively learning about the young person’s interests as well as their dislikes and their triggers, using that connection as a launchpad for a rewarding relationship. A passion for this kind of relationship-building is essential.

You will be responsible for the wellbeing of the children, young people and adults in your care. This will include chaperoning the residents to appointments and activities, completing relevant paperwork, undertaking household tasks, and where appropriate administering medication.

Working as part of an incredible team of committed support workers, you will co-operate and share knowledge and learning to the benefit of great care. Excellent communication skills are essential, both in terms of teamwork and – most importantly – as you will be in close contact with the children you care for.

What we need from you:

· Passionate about caring for young adults, and to support them to reach their full potential 

· Full and valid UK Driving Licence
