Role: Team Manager

Location: Hayling Island, Hampshire

Salary: £29,587.50 per annum

Hours: 51.92 hours per week 

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a caring, responsible, experienced Team Manager to join our fantastic team at Poppy Lodge, Hayling Island. As Team Manager you will lead a team of Support Workers who care for our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Our Team Managers carry out an essential and varied role, supporting the Registered Managers in leading a team to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. You will design, implement and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create.

When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Team Manager with previous experience of managing teams in a residential care setting, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Already qualified with Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent or willing to complete the qualification during probation, you will be a calm, engaging, resilient manager, diligent with quality and compliance, and motivated to bring your experience to a team that is passionate about providing a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.

Poppy Lodge is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ registered 7 bed, boys residential home for children and young people aged 10-18 years with Social, Emotional and Mental health difficulties. The residential home is located near Portsmouth, within close proximity to the beach, and offers a therapeutic model of care to our residents which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. Poppy Lodge is supported by a specialist independent Ofsted registered school that provides our residents a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum to support their personal and academic needs. Located in South Hampshire we are within commutable distance of Waterlooville, Gosport, Chichester, Bognor Regis, Fareham, Southampton and other surrounding towns and villages.
