Job Title:  Teaching Assistant
Location:  Reddish Hall School, Stockport, SK5 6UY
Hours:  37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am – 4.00pm
Salary:  £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:  February 2026

We’re looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team and help pupils thrive at Reddish Hall School.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant at Reddish Hall School, you’ll help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is more than a support role — it’s your chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support pupils individually and in groups with literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills
  • Assist teachers with planning and delivering lessons and activities
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies and maintain a calm classroom environment
  • Prepare resources and support trips and school activities
  • Maintain records of pupil progress and behaviour
  • Supervise pupils during breaks and lunch

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking calm, compassionate, and proactive individuals committed to supporting pupils with autism and complex needs.

Essential qualities and experience:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent skills
  • Experience in educational, childcare, or SEN settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond positively to challenging behaviour
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
