Salary: Up to 38,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

About the Role
Are you an organised, people‑focused and solutions‑driven professional who thrives in a busy environment where no two days are the same? Kestrel House School is looking for an exceptional Office Manager to lead our administrative, HR and office functions across our two North London sites.
This is a pivotal role at the heart of our school community — supporting pupils, staff, families and external partners to ensure our school runs smoothly, safely and efficiently every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage the full administration function across both school sites, including line management of the Admin Team and PA support to the Headteacher.
- Oversee HR operations including safer recruitment, staff records, contracts, absence management, employee relations and maintaining compliance with UK GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
- Act as the main liaison with central services (HR, Payroll, IT, Recruitment, Resourcing) and support the Senior Leadership Team with reports, meetings and statutory returns.
- Maintain accurate systems and records across iSAMS, Reach, the Single Central Register, staff files, pupil files and all administrative platforms.
- Manage financial administration including purchase orders, invoice processing, delegated expenditure, payroll submissions and budget tracking.
- Coordinate whole‑school communications and events, including the school calendar, parent communications, website updates and key school activities.
- Ensure compliance across both sites in relation to data protection, health and safety, audits, file storage, archiving and contractor management.
- Provide flexible operational support across Crouch Hill and Elm Grove, ensuring efficient admin cover, supporting SLT needs and upholding safeguarding responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
- GCSE Math's and English or equivalent required
- A confident leader with experience managing people and processes
- Highly organised, proactive and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Skilled in HR administration, safer recruitment and data compliance
- Comfortable working across two sites and supporting a busy Senior Leadership Team
- A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with staff, families and external partners
- Calm under pressure, solution‑focused and committed to high standards
Experience in a school environment is beneficial but not essential — what matters most is your professionalism, resilience and ability to lead with integrity.
