What is a Career in Clinical Services like?

A career in Clinical Services is a hugely fulfilling opportunity. You will support children and young people with neurodiversity or SEMH needs to overcome those barriers to their own potential. Professionals in this discipline include Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and clinical practitioners. Each provides essential support, tailored to the individual requirements of each young person.

Clinical positions involve a range of duties and responsibilities, including conducting assessments, formulating strategies, delivering therapeutic interventions, and working collaboratively with families, team members, and specialists to shape personalised care plans.

A successful clinical colleague will have empathy, patience, excellent communication skills and both compassion and understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and mental health issues.

The work can be highly challenging, but there is profound fulfilment in helping a young person overcome their unique challenges. You will make a great difference, helping children build resilience, develop skills and independence, and achieve their full potential.
