JOB TITLE: Business Analyst            

 

LOCATION:  Bolton                      

 

HYBRID WORKING: On average 2 days per week – Bolton Office

 

SALARY: up to £40,000 per annum 

 

JOB PURPOSE:

 

The Business Analyst at Outcomes First Group will play a key role in working with all business areas to define key requirements and create process mapping to identify areas of continuous improvement, optimise technology to drive operational efficiency and support a range of transformational projects to deliver continued success and the delivery of high quality services.

They will analyse and understand a business problem or opportunity, undertake research and analysis to become a suitable expert in how a department works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data and technology. They will identify solutions with the business to resolve the problem(s) and / or explore the opportunity. The Business Analyst will work closely with IT colleagues to ensure all solution design, procurement and implementation is fit for purpose and supports the strategic aims of the organisation.

 

KEY STAKEHOLDERS: Senior Leadership Team, IT, Legal and Data, Operations, HR, Finance, Service Managers, End Users, Procurement, External Vendors and Partners, Compliance and Risk, as examples.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to gather, define, and document business requirements, using a MoSCoW approach to drive prioritisation.

  • Business Process Analysis: Draft and analyse current business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement through process changes and technology solutions and create the ‘to be’ vision aligned to strategic objectives.

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to input to the design of IT solutions that meet business needs and participate in the procurement of any required solutions.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Drive effective communication and engagement across the  business ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements, progress, issues and proposed resolutions.

  • Data Analysis: Work collaboratively with Data Analyst colleagues in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to align with business requirements and strategic objectives.

  • Use Cases: Work with IT colleagues to create Use Cases in support of IT solution procurement and implementation.

  • Project Support: Work collaboratively with Project Managers as part of the programme / project team and act as BA leads across various transformation projects.

  • Change Management: As part of an ADKAR approach to Change, act as a key advocate of change and help to use the business requirements and other artefacts to help design and implement success business change to drive support and engagement across the organisation.

  • Documentation: Prepare clear, comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process maps, use cases, as examples.

  • Continuous Improvement: Act as a champion for continuous improvement, working with colleagues across the organisation and in particular Central Operations.
