Job Title:         Sixth Form Teacher 

Location:         Lamledge School, Shifnal, Shropshire

Salary:             Up to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

Hours:             40 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday 8.30am – 5.00pm & Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm 

Contract:         Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Sixth Form Teacher to join our close-knit team.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sixth Form Teacher to commence as soon as possible. You will help deliver a range of foundation qualifications as well as a nurturing and therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs including a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and also pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism. 

Purpose of the Job

 

  • Drive the teaching and learning of different subjects across the school especially in the sixth form provision.
  • To further enhance and develop the curriculum to meet the needs of all students giving them the most relevant skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • To further enhance Key Stage 4 and 5 qualifications and have a strong passion in delivering different qualifications to successfully engage pupils with complex needs.
  • To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
  • To teach a range of qualifications as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.
  • In consultation with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.

 

Essential

  • Use of a variety of teaching styles and approaches
  • Experience of teaching and delivering different subjects
  • Experience or the knowledge to deliver KS4/KS5 qualifications
  • Attainment of GCSE (or equivalent), grade C in English and Maths
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent

We are within a commutable distance of Telford, Dudley, Stourbridge, Shrewsbury, Stone, Walsall, Wolverhampton and surrounding towns.
