Role: Bank Children’s Care Worker
Salary: £11.26 per hour
Location: Stretton, Rutland, Lincolnshire
Essential: The willingness to work towards a funded diploma in Residential Childcare and the Right to Work in the UK

Options Autism are recruiting Children’s Care Workers to join our team at The Shires in Stretton, Rutland.. Our residential homes provide high quality accommodation for adults with autism, complex needs and/or learning disabilities. This would be an ideal role for those interested in supporting adults with varied and complex needs.
Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure. Working in a residential environment where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, individuals are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
The Shires is a nine bed registered Children’s home. We support Children and Young People from the ages of 11 – 19 years build incredible futures by giving them opportunities, developing their life skills and personal interests.
This home is based in Stretton and is within commuting distance from Peterborough, Grantham and Melton Mowbray.
Who we are looking for:
Although, experience is not required, we need people who fit the following criteria
- People with a big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives
- Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging
- Be patient, resilient and calming
- Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs
- Willingness to learn not only about the people we support, but the ins and outs of Adult care, by working towards an L3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
