Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Bolton Head Office – 2 days per week in office required.
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time
Salary: £26,600.00 Dependent on Experience
Car Allowance: Nil.
Job Purpose:
To provide financial support to the Overheads Team. The Finance Assistant will take an active role in producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts for multiple schools and residential homes across the group. This will involve liaising with multiple stakeholders across the group to ensure profit and loss statements are reported accurately, as well as dealing with any queries as they arise.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing and processing journals and posting to the finance system
- Assisting the finance teams as required to ensure monthly accounts are completed in a timely manner.
- Managing and analysing balance sheet reconciliations such as accruals and prepayments.
- Support the preparation of the audit packs prior to submission to the auditors.
- Working closely with the shared service centre finance team to aid them with query resolution.
- Working closely with the finance teams and Head of Financial Reporting on ad Hoc projects.
This job description sets out the duties of the post at the time it was drawn up. The post holder may be required from time to time to undertake other duties as may be reasonably expected, without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.
Requirements:
- Relevant finance experience.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at different levels.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience of Access Dimensions would be advantageous, though not essential.
- Working knowledge of MS Office
