Job title: Commercial Project Portfolio Manager
Location: Bolton (Hybrid)
Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 per annum
Hours: 9-5 Monday-Friday
Reports to: Commercial Development Director

JOB PURPOSE:
The Commercial Project Portfolio Manager at Outcomes First Group (OFG) is responsible for overseeing and delivering key projects that support the organisation’s mission to provide high-quality care and education. This role involves managing project planning, execution, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet OFG’s quality standards. The role also involves the overseeing of Central Operations and developing the Team as a link between the sites and central functions. The Commercial Project Portfolio Manager serves as a crucial link between OFG’s senior management, and project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective communication.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Ensure projects align with Outcomes First Group's (OFG) strategic objectives and contribute to the organisation’s mission of providing high-quality care and education.
- Act as the primary liaison between senior management, and project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any issues that arise.
- Allocate and manage project resources effectively, including budgeting, staffing, and logistics, to optimise project performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive management of potential issues and implementing contingency plans as needed.
- Track and report on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals and deliver value.
- Influence and challenge cross-functionally within the company to deliver continuous improvement on existing operational systems and processes.
In addition;
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall project success.
- Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory requirements, organisational policies, and industry standards, maintaining high standards of governance and ethical practices.
- Facilitate collaboration across various departments and teams within OFG to ensure integrated project delivery and resolve cross-functional challenges effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMP, and Agile, including tools for project planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Ability to develop, manage, and track project budgets, including cost estimation, financial reporting, and cost control.
- Skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks, with experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies.
- Knowledge of contract negotiation, administration, and management to ensure compliance and successful project outcomes.
- Proficiency in analysing project data, performance metrics, and generating detailed reports for stakeholders and senior management.
- Experience within an Operational environment
- Experience in managing and communicating with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives and external partners.
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role, preferably within a similar industry or sector.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, set clear performance expectations, and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Skills in managing projects, including planning, execution and monitoring to ensure successful outcomes.
- Experience in an Operational role
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting project data and performance metrics and generating comprehensive reports.
