Acorn Education & Care are recruiting Children’s Care Workers to join our teams within the Staffordshire area.
Your empathy and warmth will enable you to support vulnerable children aged 7-18 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). This means that the Children we care for may have experienced challenging or traumatic upbringings and may have difficulties with anxiety, mental health or in some cases self-harm.
There are a total of 4 residential homes in the Staffordshire region, based in Stone, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and Stretton, and are all within commuting distance from Stafford, Newcastle-under-Lyme and surrounding towns and villages.
Our residential homes are friendly and fun, and though there are challenges too, everything we do is dedicated to creating rewarding experiences – for those we look after and for everyone in our team!
The best part is you don’t need any prior experience, just the following:
- A big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives.
- Understanding that the people we care for can be challenging.
- Patience, resilience, and calmness.
- Become the “go to” person for help, support and guidance with their everyday needs.
How we reward you
