Full Job Description
Job Title: Administrator
Location: Arun Hope, Littlehampton
Salary: £18,600 per annum
Contract Type: Full time, permanent
If you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing business that is committed to improving the lives of children and young people, we have the role for you!
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic administrator to join our brand new team at Arun Hope Family Assessment Centre in Littlehampton.
About the Group
We are part of the National Fostering Group – the UK’s largest independent fostering family.
Our highly skilled and dedicated fostering community supports Local Authorities by providing short or long-term foster placements for thousands of vulnerable children and teenagers throughout the UK. With 100% of our 32 regional fostering agencies officially recognised by Ofsted, Welsh and Scottish regulators as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’, it is perhaps not surprising that more people choose to foster with our fostering agencies than any other fostering provider in the UK.
Arun Hope is a brand new Family Assessment Centre, the first of its kind in our Group! It is due to open its doors and welcome families in late August/Early September 2022 and will be a safe place full of caring professionals that will offer support, guidance and counselling to those in need.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Registered Manager and Assessment Centre Colleagues in providing good quality professional services to local authorities that are placing families in the Centre for parenting assessments. The administrator will play a key role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of premises and equipment, facilitating a safe environment for staff and visitors to the office, and being responsible for the oversight of the staff rostering system.
As first point of contact, a key part to this role is to welcome visitors into the centre, and to provide administrative and clerical functions for the service and its staff, ensuring that the services are provided in an efficient, effective, and timely way and in compliance with the requirements of the Assessment Centre.
Who we are looking for
You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports. It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. You must be organised with the ability to manage numerous tasks and deadlines. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.
But what is in it for you? Your health and wellbeing are important to us, so you’ll get an exceptional reward package including:
- Up to 39 days annual leave each year (25 base entitlement + 1 One moment in time + 8 bank holidays + ability to buy up to 5 extra days)
- Life Assurance
- Pension scheme with options to increase your contributions
- “Your Wellbeing Matters” – access to a wide range of first-class mental health support services and physical health checks
And a market-leading benefit offering through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista, enables you to choose the package that’s right for you, including:
- A wide range of health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits
- 100’s of discount options valid in the UK and abroad

And that’s not all, we place the outcomes of the children and vulnerable young adults in our services at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll wake every day in the knowledge that your role will have a significant positive impact on the lives of others.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all employees to share this commitment and undertake appropriate checks.
