Salary:  £27,144.00 - £28,275.00 per annum

Hours:  43.5 hours per week

Contract: Full Time; Permanent

About the Home:

Greenacres is a home that supports up to 6 young adults with complex needs, who enjoy accessing the local community to take part in a range of activities such as horse riding, adventure playgrounds,  swimming, trampolining, climbing, sailing, cinema, shopping, bowling. They also love participating in a various of onsite activities such as sensory and messy play, cooking, baking, arts and crafts and spending time on their onsite play area. The residents are working towards and achieving their independence goals on a daily basis with support from staff which is very rewarding.

This home is based in Grange-Over-Sands and is commutable from Kendal, Lancaster, Penrith, Morecambe and surrounds.

The homes are based in Kirkby Lonsdale and Grange-Over-Sands and are within commuting distance from Lancaster, Morecambe, Kendal, Carnforth and surrounds.

Who are we are looking for?

We are looking for a caring, responsible, experienced Team Leader to join our fantastic team at Greenacres

As Team Leader, you will lead a team of Support Workers who care for our young adults in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

This is a great opportunity to progress your career in care, working as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a setting where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Our Team Leaders carry out an essential and varied role, leading a team to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the young adults in our care. You will design, implement, and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our young adults, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create.

What we need from you:

  • Full and valid UK Driving Licence
  • Access to a car
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Currently hold Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent
  • Passionate about caring for young adults, and to support them to reach their full potential
