Role: Regional Care Manager

Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum

Hours: Permanent, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm)

Location: Covering Residential Care homes across Shrewsbury, Shropshire, West Midlands regions

Essential: Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle

We are currently looking to hire a Regional Care Manager in the Shrewsbury area.  Acorn Education & Care, a part of Outcomes First Group, are seeking a senior operational manager to be responsible for care services linked to our registered schools in the region and the line management of the related care home managers. The successful applicant would also direct the improvement of those services in line with Acorn Education & Care’s vision, mission and values.

Duties

  • To ensure all services are fully and effectively resourced to maintain provision of safe high quality care, overseeing recruitment & appointment of registered managers, keeping the Operations Director of Care updated and informed
  • To deliver high quality care services that promote and deliver positive outcomes for our young people
  • Safeguarding – to ensure all services promote and meet all standards of safe practice, including recruitment, safeguarding / LADO referrals, risk management, bullying and exploitation.

While performing your duties, you will be learning and developing your skills with one eye on the future – our ‘Journey to Leadership’ programme will provide you with the tools to look to apply for a more senior position and all of our vacancies are advertised internally as well as externally.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma L &M / Registered Manager NVQ 4
    • Care based Degree is desirable but not mandatory

Experience

  • A substantial amount of time spent working as a Registered Manager in a Children’s Residential Care setting
  • Knowledge of Local Authorities and their involvement in the Care process
    • Care and Support Plans and their relation to our homes
    • Best practice in meeting these plans and delivering the best outcomes for our occupants

Locations

We are hiring a Regional Manager to manage and oversee a cluster of services in the Shrewsbury, Shropshire and the West Midlands regions. The Regional Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and will line manage Registered Managers to ensure that services continue to provide quality outcomes for our occupants.

Our registered independent accommodations offer support for vulnerable young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Complex Needs.
