Acorn Education are hiring a Senior Care Practitioner in the Shropshire region.
Role: Senior Care Practitioner
Salary: Up to £30,153.60 per annum (inclusive of potential 8 sleep-in payments per month)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Essential: A full UK driving licence, access to own vehicle, and the Right to Work in the UK

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Residential Care Practitioner to assist our residential care team in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young people in our care.
In this role you will participate in overseeing daily operations, providing guidance and support to staff members, and ensuring the well-being and development of the young people under your care.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise residential childcare staff, providing direction, support, and mentoring to ensure the highest quality of care for our young people.
- Developing and implementing individual care plans for each young person
- Coordinating and participating in the day-to-day activities of the residential home, including mealtimes, recreational activities, and bedtime routines.
- Acting as a key point of contact for young people and their families
- Monitoring and assessing the progress and well-being of the young people, documenting observations and reporting any concerns to appropriate authorities.
Our next Senior Residential Care Practitioner will be someone who has:
- Mandatory: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or NVQ equivalent
- 2 years residential experience
- A big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents’ lives.
- Patience, resilience, and calmness.
Acorn Education are recruiting Senior Residential Care Practitioner to join our team in the Shrewsbury region.
Our residential home, has a capacity of 4 and supports young people from the ages of 7-18 build incredible futures by giving them opportunities, developing their life skills and personal interests.
This home is based in Shrewsbury and is within commuting distance from Nantwich, Whitchurch, Telford, Shifnal and surrounding villages
