Job Title: English Teacher (KS3) With the potential of additional SENCo responsibilities
Location: Bramfield House School, Suffolk
Salary: Up to £47,475 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 4:45pm Monday to Thursday 8.15 – 3.pm Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start date: October/November 2024

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher (KS3) to join our close-knit team at Bramfield House School located in Suffolk.
About the role
You will be delivering inclusive, responsive and innovative teaching and learning within
the curriculum area of English. You will constantly strive to produce outstanding/good teaching and learning at all times to ensure that all learners succeed. Under the reasonable direction of the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, carry out the professional duties of a school Teacher as set out in the current School policies.
You will be delivering literacy lessons across the school and the strategy around reading, writing and oracy across the key stages 3 and you will be instrumental in the development of a literacy culture at Bramfield House School.
You will oversee the English Delivery for the middle school as well as literacy interventions from HLTA’s or instructors, you will work alongside the SENCo to put in place interventions to raise standards of literacy for your classes. With the potential of additional SENCo responsibilities.
You will teach in accordance with the ethos, organisation and policies of the school as a fully committed member of the teaching team and as detailed in the specific duties and core standards below.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the learning and the achievement of all pupils in your classes ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
- Planning and preparing long term and medium-term plans.
- Knowledge of the relevant course content.
- Create a purposeful learning environment.
- Teaching, according to individual educational needs, the pupils assigned to him/her, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the pupils in school
and elsewhere.
