Job Title: Bank Teaching Assistant
Location: Baston House School, Bromley
Salary: £20,906.25 - £23,500 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

We are looking for Bank Teaching Assistants who have a background in working with pupils and young people who present with challenging behaviours due to their additional needs. Experience in supporting pupils and young people with Autism and additional needs would be ideal for the role and individuals with this experience would be suited to join our team at Baston House School in Bromley, Greater London.
About The School
Baston House is an independent day specialist provider of education and care for young people and adults aged 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASC).

About the Role
Joining our dedicated team, you will support our teachers to provide high quality teaching of a range of subjects and help ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum. Colleagues at Baston House are encouraged to take a creative approach, seeking ways to positively engage with and motivate pupils through lessons that promote learning and raise levels of attainment.
The ideal candidate will successfully support pupils to develop key academic and personal skills, through the development of positive working relationships with pupils, and ongoing, effective communication with colleagues. Working under the direction of class and subject teachers, teaching assistants at Baston House give regular feedback and encourage our young people to develop the key self-regulation skills and social understanding they need in order to become as independent as possible. Our specialist curriculum and personalised learning objectives are key to the success of our pupils and as a Bank Teaching Assistant you will be a key part of the learning process.
Who we are looking for
You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need. Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising pupils as they explore further afield.
