Become a Family Liaison Officer at our brand-new school Red Kite School part of Acorn Education and start working towards yours.

  • Red Kite School, Buckinghamshire, HP27 0JW
  • £26,000 per annum (not pro rata)
  • 40 hours per week hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
  • Permanent, Term Time plus 2 weeks

Red Kite is a brand-new independent special educational needs school which will cater for up to 60 pupils with social and emotional health needs.

The school is based in the beautiful market town Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for anybody who wants to be a part of the successful development of a brand new setting and make a difference to education of our pupils.

The opportunity

To develop and provide positive links between home and school to promote good pupil attendance and develop the home school partnership for pupils at risk of social exclusion, poor attendance and disaffection.

The post holder will  take a lead role in working to establish a supportive relationship with the children and parents concerned in order to facilitate effective communication and partnership between school and home, support the role of parents in students’ learning and contribute to/lead meetings with parents to provide constructive feedback on student progress, achievement and behaviour, maintaining sensitivity and confidentiality at all times.

 Monitor pupil attendance and produce reports for teachers and the school as require and take appropriate action to tackle disaffection and promote pupil attendance by ensuring first day calls are made. Working in collaboration with the class teacher and multi-disciplinary team, including clinical, to promote pupil attendance and the welfare of all identified pupils.

Qualifications Required:

  • GCSE English and Maths
  • Full UK Driving Licence
