Job Title: STEM Lead
Location: Bramfield House School, Suffolk,IP19 9AB
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start Date: September 2025

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a STEM Lead to join our close-knit team at Bramfield House School located in Suffolk.
About the role
To oversee the implementation and integration of STEM across the curriculum
To work as part of ‘One Team’ at Bramfield House School to facilitate the everyday education and care of young people with SEMH.
To plan, organise and deliver the curriculum relevant to key stage and specific subject area/s to best meet pupils’ individual special education needs.
To work in a trans-disciplinary capacity to facilitate the ‘One Team’ approach to support and link academic and social/ behavioural progress in line with pupils’ individual learning needs.
To practice with a high degree of competence with the aim of reducing barriers to learning and participation in the classroom, leading to all pupils achieving their learning potential.
As a STEM Lead:
- Support the vision, ethos and policies of the school which secure effective teaching, successful learning and promote high levels of achievement and self-esteem for all pupils irrespective of background, ethnicity, gender or disability.
- To enthuse, lead, develop and enhance the teaching practices of others across the phase, through mentoring, coaching, evaluating, supporting, guiding and target setting.
- Help lead and manage the creation and implementation of the school strategic plan which identifies priorities and targets for ensuring pupils achieve high standards and make progress, increasing Teachers' effectiveness and securing school improvement and to take responsibility for appropriately delegated aspects of it.
- Raise standards of individual pupil achievement and ensure that good attainment is maintained by providing a model of high quality teaching.
- Role model exemplary classroom practice.
- Support the senior leaders in the monitoring of the quality of teaching and learning across the subjects, including the analysis of performance data.
- Update the senior leaders and governing body on the effectiveness of provision for pupils.
- Have input into the target setting process for raising achievement for pupils across the key stage and feedback to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Develop understanding of learning needs and the importance of raising achievement among pupils.
