Job Title: PE Instructor
Location: Maple Grove School, Chester, CH2 3HR
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a PE Instructor to join our close-knit team at Maple Grove School, part of Options Autism.
About the role
Our next PE Instructor will be required:
- To take a leading role in delivering Physical Education across all key stages.
- To work under the guidance of SLT to raise the standard of physical education and promote an active lifestyle throughout the school.
- To design, deliver, and review a high-quality PE curriculum that is inclusive, challenging, and tailored to meet the needs of all pupils.
- To share and promote the school’s values and ethos, creating a nurturing and holistic environment for learning.
Key Areas:
- To contribute to raising standards of pupil progress and attainment in PE.
- To monitor and support the teaching and learning throughout PE lessons and activities.
- Under the direction of SLT, ensure PE provision is implemented, monitored and reviewed to analyse its effectiveness.
- To have a clear understanding of school pathways and ensure appropriate physical education is taking place.
- To introduce vocational and enrichment opportunities through sport and physical wellbeing.
- To organise and deliver extra-curricular physical activities and sports events.
- Liaise with Senior Leadership Team to communicate the impact of the PE curriculum on the overall school experience.
- To contribute to the development of a whole-school approach to health, fitness, and wellbeing.
- To model professional standards at all times in line with Professional Standards for Teachers.
