Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Outreach
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Location: Fieldstone School, Devon, TQ12 1NH
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm
Start: November 2025

Are you passionate about helping young people thrive in a variety of learning environments? Fieldstone School is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Outreach team.
About the Role
You will provide essential support to students both on-site and in outreach settings, helping them engage with learning, develop key skills, and build confidence.
You will work under the guidance of the Outreach Lead and Deputy Principal to plan and implement work programmes with individuals or groups of pupils with special educational needs. Your role will involve creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment across a variety of locations, including students’ homes, alternative provisions, and community settings. You will also promote inclusion, equal opportunities, and the welfare and safeguarding of all children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in a range of learning environments, on-site and within the local community.
- Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities for individuals or groups.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to reports and assessments.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to meet individual pupil needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and resilience in students.
- Support the overall safety, welfare, and inclusion of pupils at all times.
Essential Criteria
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience working with relevant age groups in educational or learning environments.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs.
- Experience of general clerical or administrative tasks.
- Training in relevant curriculum or learning strategies.
- Willingness to work flexibly to meet deadlines and respond to emerging situations.

This can be for many reasons, including a range of behavioural, emotional and educational challenges, exacerbated by being on the autistic spectrum. *You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit
