Learning Support Assistant
Location: Bradford Beacon School, Rooley Lane, Bradford, BD5 8LJ
Hours: 40 Hours per week | Monday–Friday
Rota: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00am–4:00pm | Tuesday 8.00am - 4.30pm| Fri 8:00am–3:30pm
Salary: £23,638.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: March 2026

About the Role
This is a chance to be part of a dynamic, rewarding education environment where your work has a real and lasting impact on pupils’ lives. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support vulnerable pupils to grow, succeed, and achieve far more than they imagined possible.
You will:
- Work closely with pupils to guide their learning journeys
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons
- Prepare materials and lead small group or individual activities
- Help pupils meet their emotional, social, physical, and personal care needs
- Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation
- Support both classroom-based and outdoor learning experiences
You will play a vital role in helping each pupil flourish in a school built on respect, care, and understanding.
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from candidates who:
- Hold GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths or equivalent
- Have experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEN setting
- Are adaptable, compassionate, and proactive
- Thrive in a team-focused environment and are committed to collaboration
- Are confident supporting both structured learning and creative, outdoor experiences
- Are motivated by making a genuine difference in the lives of young people with additional needs
About Us
Bradford Beacon School, opened in September 2025, is a brand-new specialist independent school for children aged 4–11 with autism and associated complex needs. Set in a purpose-built, thoughtfully refurbished environment, the school provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive setting where every child feels valued. Pupils follow a broad, enriched curriculum that develops communication, social, emotional, and life skills alongside academic achievement. With personalised teaching and therapeutic support from a dedicated staff and clinical team, every child’s individual needs are met. As the school grows to 42 pupils over the next two years, there is an exciting opportunity to help shape its inclusive, supportive culture. Bradford Beacon celebrates every step of progress, empowering pupils to reach their full potential and thrive.
