Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Red Kite School, Princes Risborough, HP27 0JW
Hours:     40 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8am - 4pm
Salary:    £39,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Fixed term till September 2027| Term Time Only
Start:       September 2026

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Teacher to join our specialist school, delivering high‑quality education that truly changes lives. This is a role where your expertise, compassion, and commitment will help shape brighter futures for students with diverse and complex needs.

What you will be doing.

As a key member of our multi‑professional team, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and teach engaging lessons to individuals and small groups, following our Curriculum Framework
  • Monitor, record and report on student progress with accuracy and insight
  • Contribute to whole‑school development and help drive forward our School Development Plan
  • Promote the physical, educational and moral development of every student
  • Create and maintain a stimulating, well‑organised classroom environment
  • Coordinate subject areas across key stages as agreed with the Head Teacher
  • Develop, implement and review IEPs, IBPs and other personalised plans
  • Ensure learning is safe, purposeful and appropriately risk‑assessed both on and off site
  • Support and guide LSAs, Tutors, Instructors and care staff to deliver high‑quality learning experiences
  • Work effectively with challenging behaviour, helping students move from external regulation to self‑control
  • Communicate consistently with care staff, families and colleagues to ensure a joined‑up approach
  • Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Safeguard all students and uphold their wellbeing at all times
  • Meet the Professional Standards for Teachers in full

What You’ll Bring

  • QTS or equvilent qualification
  • A commitment to delivering high‑quality education within agreed budgets and resources
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety, safeguarding and child protection
  • The ability to recognise and report concerns promptly and appropriately
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship‑building skills
  • A proactive approach to personal development and ongoing training
  • Professionalism, integrity and a commitment to our organisational values
  • A willingness to contribute to team meetings, supervisions and annual reviews
  • A passion for promoting the school as a valued, respected part of the community

Red Kite is a brand-new independent special educational needs school which will cater for up to 60 pupils with social and emotional health needs.
