About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic SEN Teacher who wants more than just a teaching role — someone ready to transform lives, inspire confidence and create meaningful learning experiences for pupils with autism and complex needs. This is your chance to be part of a school at the very beginning of its journey — helping shape a culture where every child is seen, supported and celebrated.
As an SEN Teacher, you’ll bring creativity, care and innovation into every lesson — designing learning that is tailored, engaging and impactful. You’ll work in a supportive, collaborative environment alongside skilled professionals, using high-quality resources to help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.
No two days are the same — but every day is an opportunity to make a difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual needs
- Using creative and innovative approaches to build confidence, curiosity and independence
- Assessing progress across academic, social and emotional development
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
- Building strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals
- Working collaboratively to provide a holistic, consistent approach to learning
About You
You are someone who brings energy, empathy and adaptability to your teaching practice.
You will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree
- Strong experience or understanding of SEN, including ASC and complex needs
- A compassionate, resilient approach to supporting pupils
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- Creativity and flexibility to adapt teaching to individual learners
This is your chance to join a school at its very beginning, make a lasting impact, and enjoy a better work/life balance. Apply today and help shape the future of Hemlock Stone School.
