Job Title: Administrator/Receptionist
Location: Bankside School, Worcester, WR8 0AD
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.00pm
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

About the Role
As our Administrator & Receptionist, you will provide outstanding front‑of‑house and administrative support across the school. You will help ensure that every interaction — whether with a pupil, parent, visitor or colleague — reflects our ethos of care, respect and high expectations.
You will deliver well‑structured, reliable and responsive administrative services that contribute to a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

What you will be doing:
- Provide a warm, professional and efficient reception service for pupils, families, visitors and external partners.
- Deliver high‑quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of daily school operations.
- Maintain accurate and compliant systems for attendance, safeguarding, pupil information and school documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments and school events, ensuring effective preparation, communication and follow‑up.
- Manage incoming calls, emails and enquiries with professionalism and care.
- Support admissions, transitions, referrals and multi‑agency communication.
- Work closely with the SENCo and pastoral team to maintain robust systems for recording and reviewing pupil information.
- Uphold high standards of confidentiality, organisation and professionalism at all times.
What you will bring:
Essential
- Proven ability to plan, organise and deliver high‑quality administrative and reception support in a busy school environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to interact professionally with pupils, families, staff and external agencies.
- Strong digital competence, including use of MIS platforms, spreadsheets and communication systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, remain calm under pressure and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection and statutory expectations for independent special schools.
Desirable
- Experience working in a school, SEMH provision or similar setting.
- Familiarity with school MIS systems such as Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom.
- Knowledge of attendance processes, safeguarding administration or multi‑agency communication.

Bankside School is an exciting new venture near Hanley Castle, Worcester. Our new specialist school caters for students aged 11-18 years old with Autism, Complex needs and learning disabilities.
For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
