Job Title: Vocational Tutor
Location: Groveside School, Reading, RG2 7AY
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Salary: £27,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

What you will be doing
As a Vocational Tutor, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for future education, employment and training. You will:
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging vocational learning that builds practical, personal and employability skills.
- Create a safe, stimulating and purposeful learning environment rooted in mutual respect.
- Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs, ensuring all pupils can access and succeed in their learning.
- Build strong, restorative relationships with pupils, supporting their confidence, independence and work‑readiness.
- Track progress, assess learning and contribute to accreditation and reporting processes.
- Model positive attitudes, values and behaviours at all times.
- Work closely with colleagues, families and external partners to support positive outcomes.
- Use tools, materials and resources safely and effectively, promoting good practice and responding to risk appropriately.

About Us
Groveside School is a Special Educational Needs School for Pupils 7 - 16 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Our school opened in September 2024 and will cater for 60 pupils.
