Job Title: Pastoral Support Worker- Uxbridge and Hillingdon Campuses
Location: Syon Manor College, Uxbridge, London, UB8 1SZ.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday |8.30am - 4.30pm
Salary: Up to £23,500 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

We are seeking a Pastoral Support Worker to join our committed team, providing high‑quality support to pupils in line with our organisation’s values, policies and regulatory standards. This is a rewarding role where you’ll play a vital part in helping students—many with autism or additional needs—access education, develop independence, and feel safe, supported and understood.
What you will be doing
- Leading the planning, development and delivery of an engaging and accessible IT curriculum
- Teaching IT across Entry Level 1, BTEC and GCSE qualifications
- Creating dynamic, hands-on learning experiences that inspire and motivate students
- Adapting lessons and teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Building pupils' confidence, independence and digital skills for life beyond the classroom
- Teaching a range of topics including coding, digital literacy, creative media and practical problem-solving
- Helping students discover new strengths, interests and future aspirations through technology
- Working collaboratively within a supportive, forward-thinking team to make a visible difference every day
What You Will Bring

- Passionate about helping students grow in independence, confidence and self‑belief.
- Driving licence is desirabledue to lots of offsite learning
- Level 3 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Colleges desirable
- Level2 SEN qualification/ working towards desirable
Experience in education, SEN, autism support or care settings is beneficial, but we welcome applications from individuals with the right values and a genuine desire to make a difference.
** Please note: This role will cover both sites Uxbridge UB8 1SZ & UB8 3HD.**
