Job Title: Administration Assistant
Location: Baston House School, Bromley, Kent, BR2 7AB
Hours: 37.5 per hours week | Monday–Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm.
Salary: Up to £26,000. per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Fixed term till May 2027 | Term Time plus 2 weeks
Start: July 2026

We're looking for a highly motivated Administration Assistant to join our dedicated team at Baston House School. This is far more than a traditional admin role—you'll be at the heart of our school community, supporting pupils, families and colleagues to ensure everything runs smoothly, professionally and compassionately.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the welcoming face of the school, managing reception duties and handling enquiries from visitors, families and professionals.
- Provide efficient, confidential administrative support across the school, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Coordinate referrals, admissions, reviews and communications with families and external agencies.
- Support the smooth running of examinations, including entries, timetables and liaison with exam boards.
- Assist with recruitment administration, onboarding processes and maintaining staff records.
- Monitor attendance information and contribute to reporting and compliance requirements.
- Support finance and facilities administration, including invoices, petty cash and maintenance coordination.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the school remains organised, compliant and focused on delivering the very best outcomes for pupils.

- Holds GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A confident communicator with a professional and welcoming approach.
- Comfortable using IT systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications.
- Discreet, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Proactive, adaptable and solution-focused, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- A supportive team player who builds positive relationships with colleagues, pupils and families.
Experience within education, care or another regulated environment would be an advantage, but is not essential. If you bring enthusiasm, professionalism and a genuine desire to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Baston House School is an independent day specialist school in Bromley, Kent, supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated needs.
