Hours:      10 hours per week | Monday–Friday | Monday - Thursday 3.30pm -5 .30pm, Friday 2.30pm- 4.30pm
Salary:      £6,239.74 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only + 2 weeks
Start:        September 2026

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated, reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our friendly site team. Your role will help ensure our school remains a hygienic, safe and positive environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

What you will be doing

As a valued member of our cleaning team, you will:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across your designated area
  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and polishing
  • Empty bins and manage waste responsibly, including recycling
  • Clean and restock toilet areas
  • Complete periodic Deep Cleans, including skirting boards, walls and internal glass
  • Use cleaning materials safely and economically, following COSHH and manufacturer guidelines
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to your Line Manager
  • Ensure windows, doors and lights are secured appropriately after cleaning

You’ll be responsible for your own area and expected to meet the cleaning frequencies and standards set by the school.

What you will bring

  • GCSE or equivalent is required 
  • Takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail
  • Understands the importance of hygiene and safety
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Is reliable, punctual and professional
  • Follows procedures and uses cleaning materials safely

Experience in a cleaning role is helpful but not essential — a positive attitude matters most
