Hours:      40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Salary:     £23,638.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:       September 2026

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals.
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, creative and personalised learning activities.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, communication and social development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Prepare classroom resources and support a range of enrichment activities, educational visits and school events.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing observations with the wider school team.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to provide consistent, holistic support.
  • Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of every pupil, helping them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
  • Is patient, resilient and able to build positive, trusting relationships.
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Brings a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine desire to help every pupil succeed.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
