Position:  Office Manager
Location: Tilewood School, Buckinghamshire, MK18 5AN
Salary:     Up to £29,500 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours:     40 hours per week | Monday to Friday 
Contract: Permanent | Term time only

About the Role

Are you an experienced Office Manager or Senior Administrator looking for a role where no two days are the same? Do you thrive on organisation, enjoy leading people, and take pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes?

We're looking for a proactive, highly organised and people-focused Office Manager to join our specialist school. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our leadership support team, working closely with the Head of Service to ensure the school operates efficiently, compliantly and professionally every day.

As our Office Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of school administration, lead and develop a dedicated administration team, and play a vital role in supporting staff, pupils, families and visitors. Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment where everyone can flourish.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Administration Team, ensuring an efficient, high-quality support service across the school.
  • Oversee the day to day running of the school office and reception, creating a professional and welcoming experience for pupils, families and visitors.
  • Manage key administrative processes including admissions, pupil records, staff personnel files and safeguarding compliance, including the Single Central Record.
  • Support financial administration, including purchase orders, invoices, expenses, budgets and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, parent evenings and provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Work collaboratively with the Headteacher, Facilities Manager and wider teams to ensure the smooth operation of the school, including premises coordination and contractor management.
  • Ensure all administrative systems, records and processes remain compliant with GDPR, safeguarding, health and safety requirements and company policies.

What you will bring

  • QTS/PGCE required
  • NPQH desirable
  • Previous experience in an Office Manager, School Business Support, Senior Administrator or Administration Manager role.
  • Experience managing or supervising an administration team.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and school management systems (experience of iSAMS is advantageous but not essential).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and school compliance processes, including maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience within an education or care setting is desirable but not essential.
