Job Title:  Pastoral Support Worker- Uxbridge and Hillingdon Campuses
Location:  Syon Manor College, Uxbridge, London, UB8 1SZ.
Hours:      37.5 hours per week | Monday– Wednesday 8:30 - 4:30 | Thursday and Friday 8:30 - 4:00
Salary:      Up to £25,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:         October 2026

About the Role

What you will be doing

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis to access learning and achieve their goals.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional and communication needs.
• Contributing to individual support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Helping create a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment.
• Supporting morning routines, personal care, and daily transitions where appropriate.
• Working collaboratively with education, care and therapeutic teams.Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding pupils at all times.

What You Will Bring 

• Level 3 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Colleges desirable 
• Level2 SEN qualification/ working towards desirable 
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, autism, or challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
• Good organisation and record-keeping skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Empathetic, calm and adaptable approach.
• Driving licence is desirable
