Location: Tile House School – Buckinghamshire, MK18 5AN
Salary:     Up to £26,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours:     37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term time only
Start:        April 2027

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the founding team at Tile House School, a brand-new specialist school opening in Buckinghamshire.

We're looking for a highly organised, proactive and friendly Administrator to play a vital role in supporting the successful launch and day-to-day running of our new school. As one of our first support staff, you'll help establish efficient systems, deliver exceptional customer service and ensure pupils, families and colleagues receive the highest level of support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide high-quality, confidential administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school.
  • Welcome visitors, parents and professionals, ensuring a professional and friendly front-of-house service.
  • Maintain accurate pupil, staff and school records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
  • Manage correspondence, diaries, filing systems, databases and general office administration.
  • Support school admissions, attendance, reporting and operational processes.
  • Assist with purchasing, budgeting and general financial administration.
  • Respond flexibly to the changing needs of the school, supporting projects and key events.
  • Help establish effective systems and processes that support the successful growth of our brand-new school.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Has previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or education setting.
  • Has excellent IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Office; SIMS experience is highly desirable.
  • Is highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Is a confident communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals.
  • Is proactive, adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Is committed to safeguarding, confidentiality and delivering outstanding customer service.

Tile House School is an exciting new addition to the Acorn Education family, provisionally set to open its doors in April 2027.
