Job Title: School Cleaner
Location: Meadows View School, Stamford, Lincolnshire, PE9 2JL
Hours: 15 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 2pm - 5pm
Salary: £8,864.25 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the wider school team, you'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school. You'll carry out a range of daily cleaning duties and use your initiative to ensure all areas remain clean, safe and well presented.
What you will be doing
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and all communal areas.
- Carry out a range of cleaning duties including dusting, polishing, vacuuming carpets, stain removal and cleaning washroom facilities.
- Empty waste bins, safely dispose of waste and replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels.
- Monitor cleaning supplies, report stock shortages and notify your line manager of any maintenance issues, breakages or health and safety concerns.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, school policies and cleaning standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Use your initiative to identify and complete additional cleaning and tidying tasks, taking pride in maintaining a welcoming school environment.
About you
- Has previous cleaning experience (preferred) and a good understanding of Health & Safety when using cleaning equipment and products.
- Is organised, reliable and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, using initiative to solve problems and respond to changing priorities.
- Is flexible and willing to work across all areas of the school, including undertaking manual handling and some heavy lifting where required.
- Demonstrates professionalism, maintains confidentiality and is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Is eager to learn and develop, with a willingness to participate in training and continuously improve their skills.

Our New Options Autism School - Meadows View School will cater for young people aged 5-11 with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning needs.
