Job Title: Administrator
Location: Benton House School, Benton, NE7 7XE
Hours: 18.75 per week | Monday to Friday
Salary: £12,500.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

About the Role
As an Administrator, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver high-quality administrative and customer service support to a wide range of stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the school, establishing and maintaining effective systems and processes that support operational excellence and meet both current and future needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective, timely and confidential administrative support to staff and managers as required
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, ensuring all documentation is stored securely and in line with confidentiality requirements
- Respond flexibly and promptly to urgent or last-minute requests to support the needs of the school
- Collaborate with colleagues to assist with tasks requiring additional support
- Contribute to budget awareness by working in line with agreed financial parameters
- Promote a strong health and safety culture, reporting hazards and minimising risk at all times
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safeguarding, protection, complaints and behaviour policies
What You Will Bring
- GCSEs (or equivalent)
- Experience working within a school environment
- Strong administrative and communication skills
- Experience using SIMS (highly desirable)
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines consistently

Benton House School is a brand-new SEN school for pupils with complex needs including SEMH. It is an exciting addition to the Acorn portfolio based in Newcastle.
Benton House School will have capacity for 60 pupils ages 5-14 years old.
